The Dogwood Course

The Dogwood course has been considered one of the finest courses in America since it’s opening in 1963.  It was a member of Golf Digest’s Top 100 courses for many years and has consistently been ranked in the top 5 courses in North Carolina.  The Dogwood course has hosted many championships including the US Amateur, The PGA Tour World Match Play Championship, six Southern Amateurs, three Carolinas Amateurs, seven North Carolina Amateurs, and the Big “I” Junior Classic.  Many of the world’s best golfers have competed on the Dogwood course, with Jack Nicklaus, Ben Crenshaw and Hal Sutton among the winners. Ellis Maples and Willard Byrd were co-designers of the course, with a few modifications prior to the 1980 US Amateur by Robert Trent Jones.  Arthur Hills oversaw a renovation of Dogwood in 1999 that included rebuilding greens, tees and bunkers.

The Dogwood Course offers challenges for all golfers with five sets of tees.  See the scorecard below for the yardage from each tee box.
